Blog Scavenger Hunt - Planning Phase

So I know it's a bit early, but I'm in the planning phase of a scavenger hunt for my 30th birthday. It will start on December 4th and last through the 10th (my actual birthday).

A list of blogs will be created and each day, I will post a list of questions. Participants need to search those blogs and find the answers, then email them to me. From the emails I receive, the person who has answered the most questions correctly will win. If more than one person answers the same number, I will use Random.org to decide the winner.

There may also be additional prizes and entries on some of the blogs (at the discretion of the blogger), so participants will want to keep an eye out for those. On the 10th, a grand prize winner will be drawn from those who have answered all questions correctly. The grand prize will be a Kindle Mini. Bloggers who are interested in participating should shoot me an email (samantha at samantha-warren dot com).

Updated Info:
There will be three ways to participate as a blogger: donations, prize posts, and the search questions. You can choose to do one, two, or all three.

1) Daily questions. Questions can be fairly easy to find (What is the name of Samantha Warren’s dragon?--located in the About section) or more difficult (What is the name of the abandoned cat Samantha Warren posted about on her blog-- posted under Tales of the Milkmaid, a separate heading from the main blog).

2) Donations for daily prizes to the person(s) who answers the most correct questions. The more donations I get, the more people will win each day. You will be listed in the prizes, and your blog will be included in the blog list on the main post.

3) Prize posts: These are entirely at the discretion of the blogger. Hunters will not know which blogs have the additional prizes, adding incentive to look through all the blogs. I would like to know who is posting these on what days so I can give people hints if they get frustrated, but I will not flat out say what blogs have the posts.

  7. I was just looking around your blog to see if you had created a widget to promote the hunt. Do you think you'll be doing that? Then participates can put the widget on their blog to help promote. Not that I want to create more work for you... :)

  8. I'll definitely be doing that. I'm still working on gathering blogger participants, though, so I haven't done that yet. I'll let you know as soon as I have one! (Maybe I'll work on it today)

  9. I'd be interested in participating - if I can! I don't have many blog posts (and my postings aren't regular or frequent, I'm afraid). Oops...! :)
